Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will design, build, and scale Omnisight's web applications and backend services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across edge AI and IoT-connected systems, from frontend UX and dashboards to backend APIs, cloud infrastructure, device communications, and scalable data systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications and cloud services
  • Build dashboards and operational tools for device configuration, remote monitoring, firmware management, and analytics
  • Develop robust backend APIs and microservices supporting IoT-connected edge devices
  • Collaborate with AI/ML and computer vision teams to integrate analytics into customer-facing applications
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Help architect cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Improve system security, authentication, and data integrity
  • Work closely with customers and product leadership to rapidly iterate on features
Required qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Building modern full-stack web applications and SPAs
  • Proficiency in TypeScript
  • Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript
  • Experience with C#, .NET Core, and C++
  • Strong backend development with C#, .NET Core, and Entity Framework
  • Designing and consuming RESTful APIs and WebSocket-based systems
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Building scalable SaaS, edge AI, or IoT-connected platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • Video streaming systems, edge devices, or IoT platforms
  • Telemetry, real-time analytics, or sensor-driven systems
  • Real-time data processing or event-driven systems
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration workflows
  • Docker, containerized deployments, and CI/CD workflows
  • Geospatial or transportation-related applications
  • Linux-based embedded systems (Ubuntu preferred)
  • NVIDIA Jetson / JetPack environments
  • Python experience
  • Startup or high-growth company experience

Field Engineer (Entry Level)

On-site in the Charleston, SC area. Candidates must already live in the Charleston area or be willing to relocate at their own expense before starting.

As a Field Engineer, you will configure, commission, and support Omnisight systems in the field, working across hardware, software, networking, and data. It is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants to learn quickly across edge AI, sensors, and connected systems.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and commission Omnisight systems for customer deployments
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and configuration issues
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for customers
  • Support field deployments and system testing
  • Analyze system data and logs to identify root causes
  • Develop technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures
  • Assist with programming projects and software development
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 0 to 3 years of professional experience
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the United States
Helpful, but not required
  • Programming in any language
  • Linux environments
  • Networking, APIs, or databases
  • Computer vision or embedded systems
  • Data analysis
  • Technical support or customer-facing experience

Growth path: This role can grow into application engineering, software development, systems engineering, or product management.
