NAATSHO 2026 Event Recap

Looking back on NAATSHO, this one meant a lot to me personally.

This was my first time attending NAATSHO, and Omnisight’s second time being part of the event. After spending the week with so many people across the transportation industry, it’s easy to see why this group makes such an impact. Tennessee did an incredible job hosting, and we really enjoyed getting to spend quality time with everyone throughout the week. There were plenty of great conversations, a lot of laughs, and memories we’ll be taking with us.

But more than anything, NAATSHO is about coming together around something that matters: improving work zone safety.

If you missed the Omnisight session, one of the biggest takeaways was something I learned from Chris Englebrecht: talk to the people in the industry about their problems.

We work closely with Chris, who first approached us at TRB two years ago. That conversation ultimately led to the development of FusionBLADE. It’s a great example of what can happen when you listen to the people working in the industry, understand their challenges, and collaborate on solutions.

One phrase that has stayed with us throughout that process is: “Think like Chris.”

That sounds simple, but it’s incredibly important. The people working in transportation every day know where the challenges are. Our job is to listen, understand those challenges, and work side by side with industry professionals and leaders to find better ways to solve them.

Technology is only one piece of that. The real impact comes when manufacturers, exhibitors, agencies, and the people working in the field come together, share what they’re seeing, and work toward solutions together.

That’s what made NAATSHO so meaningful for me and for everyone at Omnisight. We’re grateful to be part of this community, and we’re excited to see the impact and strides this group will continue to make.

We’re already looking forward to 2027. I can’t wait to see where everyone is by then, the progress that’s been made, and the new challenges we’ll be working together to solve.
